Our 125-hectare farm is situated on the northern foothills of Simonsberg Mountain. Here conditions favour the cultivation of both white and red varieties and at present some 75 hectares are planted to vines.

Among the many popular attractions in our area are also Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm and the exciting Butterfly World. Simply ask our Visitor Centre Manager, Zelda Furstenberg, for directions.

Directions to Glen Carlou

Travelling from Cape Town

Travel along N1 highway, in the direction of Paarl.

Continue travelling straight along this road, until you see a signboard on the left hand side, Exit 47 for R44 Klapmuts/Wellington/Stellenbosch.

Take this turnoff, and at the stop street, turn right. You will come to a 4-way stop, carry on straight, and take the first turn to the left - you will see a signboard saying R45 Franschhoek.

Travel for 3km along this road, and you will find Glen Carlou on the right hand side.

Travelling from Cape Town International Airport

Leaving the airport, take a turn to the left where the signboard says “N2” highway.

Travel along this road until you see a signboard for the turnoff to the R300 highway, to the left.

You will drive for quite a while, straight along this road - it eventually joins the N1 highway, and this is going in the direction of Paarl.

Continue travelling straight along this N1 road, until you see a signboard on the left hand side, saying Exit 47 for R44 Klapmuts/
Wellington/Stellenbosch.

Take this turnoff, and at the stop street, turn right. Drive a short distance to the 4-way stop in Klapmuts. Carry on straight, you will go over a little bridge, and pass a shop on your left, and then take the first road to the left, where you see a signboard saying R45 Franschhoek.

Travel for 3km along this road, and you will find Glen Carlou on the right hand side.

Travelling from Stellenbosch

Travel from Stellenbosch along the R44 road, in the direction of Paarl.

Continue travelling straight along this road. You will pass the Potbelly Pantry on your left side, and shortly after this, you will turn right where you see a signboard saying R45 Franschhoek.

Travel for 3km along this road, and you will find Glen Carlou on the right hand side.
